What are some of your favorite songs or riffs that you like to play? I mainly ask this because I want something new to learn so I can expand on it.

Good list. nice to see a fellow metalhead on the boards.

    FOr me:

    Maiden - Prisoner, Wasted Years
    Stones - Angie
    AC/DC - Shoot to Thrill
  9. I can't really call myself a metalhead, but it's nice to see another AC/DC fan on the board.

I like to play almost anything by Rush, and I also like a lot of Beatle's stuff.

    POW by Graham central station

    NIB by Sabbath

errr.. Country Music by stu hamm :p

  11. My favorite has got to be the first song i ever learned which is "blind" by korn. Right now the song i can't stop playing is "severed" by mudvayne
  12. currently i'm having a lot of fun playing "ABC" by the Jackson 5, and "I Touch Myself" by the Divinyls. No joke. I'm also working on the "Come On Over" riff, which i can hardly pull off because the action on my bass makes playing that high on the neck a real pain.

    Kent, England.
"Mellowship Slinky in B Major" by the Red Hot Chili....

"Forgotten" by Linkin Park - check out the verse riff, excellent!

"Revenge" by Papa Roach - same reason as above!

And I can't really consider my self an AC/DC fan. I know most of their music but just started playing some of it. So damn solid and pretty fun.

OH! yeah, definitely "Saviour" I love the bass on the interlude bits. Another cool bass line off that album is "Road Trippin" I love the way the bass and guitar merge together.

Also the funky inerlude to "hollywood" rocks.

Yeah I'll shut up about RHCP/Flea now. ;)

    Stuck on a rock !
Stevie Wonder - try the riff from "Sir Duke", or "Masterblaster" for a good work out, then maybe a little "I wish" which has a groove to die for - and its only 10 notes !

Or perhaps Frank Zappa - "Cosmik Debris" and "Whipping Post"

Failing that Limp Bizkit - "Re-arranged" and "My Way"

And of course the "Theme from Rainbow" :D
  20. Lowrider. Hit Em Up by Tupac is pretty fun to play too; its got a nice funky baseline.
