What's your favorite song and why? I guess the Flecktones count, but i was thinking more solo wooten.
Mine is a tie between the one bass track verson of yinnin & yanging, and A Show of Hands.. love those stereo peizo's

while we're on it, does anyone know where i could find out the chords he plays at the beginning of Y&Y? Im sure its tapped, and the roots are simple enough, but the chords are killing me... thanks..

    "Overjoyed" in Show of Hands.

How did he do that on a 4-string with no overdubs?

Solo: "Me and My Bass Guitar". Great riff. With the Flecktones: "Vix 9". Still can't figure out how he does the melody and bassline at once. The right hand part sounds pretty complicated.

  4. Stompin' Ground with the Flecktones, and on Show of Hands I think it's called One Love. La.... la la la.... la la la.... la la la...

Man, I'd say the whole dang Show Of Hands CD is great. Mostly like:
    Overjoyed
    A Show of Hands
    Medley
    Classical Thump
    Me and My Bass Guitar.

Sinister Minister. I saw the Flecktones do it live
a few years ago with Bela and Victor switching
instruments. Yes, Bela can crank on the bass
and Victor ain't a slouch on the banjo....

I have to go with "what did he say?" with "yinnin' & yangin'" as a runner up!

U Cant Hold No Groove or Me and My Bass Guitar

    With the Flecktones Sinister Minister.

Everyone in my school's jazz band loves Sinister Minister. The "other" bass player knows how to play most of it. Kind of a crowd pleasing song: a showcase of technical skill that is amazing, even though it's just essentially a basic D minor riff.
