What is your favourite Sport?
College student here... My favorite sport to play is ultimate frisbee.
I enjoy watching American football too.
Playing and watching.
Nothing quite like clearing your boots on the opposing front row on a Saturday afternoon.
Testing speed, stamina and strength while having to read the opposing team and knowing where your team is going to need you. Pulling tactics out of the chaotic fray.
The lack of post-game ego and general goodwill, even after a punch-up. Just good stuff all round. Very little in the way of grudges too
There's a poll attached to this thread now!
Could you explain these terms for me please? I'm not catching your drift.
I'm thinking what is our favorite sport to do.
Mine is alpine skiing.
Surfing. Followed closely by rugby.
Motorcycle racing, especially MotoGP, World Superbike, and the Isle of Mann TT. I enjoy both collegiate and pro (American) football.
Edit: That's as a spectator; as for participation, MTBing
To watch, women's beach volleyball.
In every other respect, baseball.
and the NFL...
To watch - Soccer
To do - Running
I am guessing he plays either prop position or the hooker position, which is the front line of the scrum. Clearing your boots...getting the mud out of them on the opposing line...use your imagination on that. A punch-up is just what it sounds...fist fighting, brawl, etc. Rugby is all about strategy and finding the weaknesses in your opponents, which sometimes includes taking a swing st someone now and then, just to show you aren't afraid to engage, stand your ground and put them back in theirs! I played scrum-half or fly-half in college...20 years or better ago. Not an old fart's game, but still plenty fun to watch and I've got my boys learning to ruck and maul! Good fun!
It's a close race between college football and ice hockey but football got my vote. I've been to MSU Spartan games than Detroit Red Wing games.
There was a gay bar in my old town called MTB's. It stood for "Meet The Boys." I'm sure that's not what you meant by MTBing though.
1. Ice hockey
