    What is everyones favroit version of voodoo chile, is it hendrix, srv, ben harper or who ever else.

    Personaly mine is the ben harper one, i got a bootleg mp3 of it. It has some mad bass action going on

    Jimi's live version on the BBC sessions is one of the most spine-tingling things I have ever heard. The cut on Electric Ladyland just doesn't compare.

    A great song that is overplayed to the extreme. I have to go with Jimi, but SRV did a hell of a job with it as well. As far as Little Wing, Jimi again but there is a fantastic guitar player named Monte Montgomery that I saw do Little WIng live and it blew me away.

    Jimi's performance on Live at the Fillmore East is tops for me.


    I saw Buddy Guy this summer in Chicago and he launched into an awesome rendition.

    what no poll? i think SRV's live versions of voodoo chile were awesome but also Kenny Wayne Shepard's version is way up there too.
