I downloaded "strummed", and, quite frankly, AAAARRRGGGHHH!!!

You are giving me such unbearable GAS for my 10-string that I'm pretty sure I'll explode.

    T minus 10...

Sweet sound files. I really like the first one with the delay. Makes me miss my VBass. :(

I need to get off of my lazy butt, and post some clips of my 8-stringer. :bassist:

When I look at that lower bout, I get a kind of tingly feeling in my groinal region. What is that about?

Also, very interesting sound clips. What's the effect on #1? Oops. Never mind.

Well, it had a little fight with an outlet wired for 208V in a new studio. :meh:

It's currently in for repairs (at no cost to me:D ). I should have it back in another week, or so.

    yeowch. Did it bite ya?

I've got an internal GK2b kit on its way to Matt presently, hope to drop that in my next commission with him, see how that works.
Do you know if anybody tried the V w/ JT's RMC-equipped basses? I sure wish I'd thought to do that at the TBGTG. Maybe he'll indulge me at the Bass Summit.

Thar has to be the best looking FBB I have seen yet. I don't always like buckeye burl, but that rocks.

Am I wrong in remembering the bass having wooden pickup covers at some point?

I'm having trouble deciding on pickups and a pre for my 10-string. I really dig the sound in the clip with delay. My bass'll have a wenge neck, and maple body, so I think it'll have a nice clear, present sound (which is exactly what I want), but I want to make sure the electronics I choose bring that out. I see you went with barts and the Aggie (what terrible names for children those would be). I mostly dug up this thread to get an idea of what you used, but if you have any suggestions about electronics, Mark, I'd love to hear them.

I can't remember if we were going to do p'up covers or not...I probably will on the next one though.

I guess right now it would be a toss-up for me electronics-wise. I really like this Aggie w/ the Barts; it's smooth but there's plenty of variety available. The E-Pro BTB-01 in my JP is also a contender though. That is one powerful circuit! A monster indeed. I'm going to have a hard time deciding what to use in the next FBB, other than the internal GK2b kit that is.

Maybe we should look into interchangeable modules for preamps? Wasn't somebody doing that? Brubaker maybe? Perhaps I'll discover something at the Summit I hadn't even considered...

How's the 10'er plan coming along?
