What's that on your cab...Canvas?
I seldom use both 12/6s. I usually am fine with the black one and a Quilter BB800.
I built this 12/6/1 a few years back from a flat pack. I've not had any issues with it not being loud enough when used in a band situation, but sometimes my wife complains!
I finished building out this Bassic15, too.
Love the beer opener.
Slowly but surely...
@cableguy, you got the right bass amp for these cabinets, in my opinion!
It’s what I use with mine.
Yes it does. It slays with my 66. My 12/6 thumps as well.
My Current big rig:
One of the very few canadian Fearful
I bought it used so it wasn't built for me but here is the built storyline
White 1212/6 fEARful - SHO Bass
I've built two. I had a 15/6 from a flat pack, and a 12/6 cube from scratch. Used with a Mesa M6 which was a HUGE sound. Had one gig I used both cabs and an Acoustic 370. That was kinda cool. Really not necessary to use both. I'd say a 15, it's got a bit more volume, but also seems to be a bit deeper and fuller of a sound.
I might be getting back into the M6, and my 2020 project might be another fEARful cab.
I need to come to terms with the fact that I don't need to bring BOTH my 15/6/1s to the small bar gigs that my band has been playing
Our 2nd gig was this last Tuesday and I couldn't fit both on stage, but one was more than enough to carry the stage and then some!
I suspect two 15/6/1 would be a bit much for most bar/club gigs, but you are ready for outside and theater gigs!
I've only used my 12/6/1 paired with my Bassic15 once, but the Bassic15 was pointed at the drummer, and he said later that he didn't really need it.
Thanks guys. My 12/6 is in pieces still and I'm bracing up for the crossover and pad soldering before I glue on the back and top. Slow and steady wins the race. Question _ anyone find matching a non greenboy cab with a single eminence 12 with similar dimension is a problem?
It is my understanding that without the cabinets being the same or mirrored, it's a hit or miss situation.
My Bassic15 sounds pretty nice with my 12/6/1, so it night be okay, if your ear isn't cursed with perfection like mine!
wondering the same. looks lit
where do you get the grills that just cover the speaker? (vs the entire front of the cab) didn't see that at speaker hardware. specifically for the 12/6. cheers
Parts Express has the round grill covers and mounting kits.
Along with about a bazillion other cool things.
