I heard the new run was going to be red!
The crazy looper things with the CT5 are a lot of fun, but for me the best part is the pitch shifted delay. It can sound so crazy at times, like a Rainbow Machine on meth.

If you like the pitch shifted delay, that Red Panda Raster sounds awesome!

Test Tone Challenge ... a quick first attempt. :) There are three notes available; two different test tones and a rather ugly distorted sound when switching over to cable test mode. This was fun, have to try and make another one, with more feedback. It's mainly the Red Panda Particle and a tremolo that are involved, with some added phaser, chorus and delay at times.

Yeah, I tried the cable test mode but it was a bit scary :)

Very nice! These weekly themes are keeping us on our toes :)

It's fun! Maybe some musical ideas can come from this too, it would be cool if some of these sounds could be used in a song.

Sorry for the stupid question but how do you get a different test tone out of the Ct-100. I see a switch for test tone level but that's about it. Is it when you hit the reset?

Push the little black reset button to switch between the two notes.

Yes, the Reset button makes it switch from 1 KHz to 440 Hz. The cable test mode gives you something else, but I was concerned that it was a bit too distorted.

Don't have a cable tester but I've come up with a "different" approach to the same concept; results on Friday! (maybe tomm secondary to daughter and homework)

I have no cable tester. I do however have a bass! ;)

  14. I'm not surprised Mosfed wants a CT5 now, to paraphrase what he said: That was fantastic!
I wanted a Bladerunner-like atmosphere to enjoy the clip, this is what I chose (mute the Vangelis, hit yer soundcloud and enjoy):

  15. When the reverb first kicked in... man, that just blew me away!
I can't help but think after hearing this entry that a pattern tremolo would sound good, such as the Empress with its different presets, 3 waveforms, 8 assorted rhythms and tap-to-tremolo-rate-tempos. That's a lot of cool stuff for such a basic effect. Lots of other "advanced" trems out there, too, such as the new EHX Super Pulsar, Diamond's Trem and those off the beaten path such as Dr. Scientist Tremolessence with its hold feature.

[EDIT: wasn't done writing this post, but I think my cat submitted it whilst I was asleep! Also need to mention SGFX's Stutterbox as having multi-rhythm capabilities, tap-tempo and more.
    ZVex is crazy goodness!

Check it out (I've cut the vid straight to the rhythms)!

Thanks. Yes, the CT5 is indeed pretty awesome :)

  17. Dare I say "dubby"? Not in the bass freqs, I mean, but in the spirit of the wigged out "whoops and hollers" particularly towards the end.
    Very cool, no Tremolo needed!
