Yeah, in my band I'm running a Boss DS-1 w/ every knob pretty much at noon, into my sansamp, and then into a tube amp.. I'm getting some feedback when the pedal is engaged. Nothing too nasty, and sometimes eliminated if I mute the strings just right and stand in the right spot.. But is there an easy to fix to eliminate this? Or is that the price to pay for high gain? Hehe.. I'm thinking there are probably feedback eliminating pedals, but I haven't really looked into em.

A noise gate would be good :)

That would be helpful. A few other suggestions would be to move the pedal away from your amp, or reduce the treble on either your amp or pedal. Also, when you stop playing and mute the strings with your left hand, make sure your hand isn't over a harmonic, as that can create feedback. Hope these tips work. :)
