This is a new old stock bass which I purchase from GC last month. When I bought it, it had 2 chips in the paint. I decided to install a preamp. In my quest to install a preamp I had to enlarge the cavity to accommodate the preamp and battery. While doing so the router slipped and caused yet another chip in the paint, and I slightly over enlarged the cavity. It shows slightly under the control plate but you really can't see it while your playing. I've taken the preamp back out. Other than that this bass is a great player and sounds great. I would keep it but I prefer a maple fret board. Ideally I'd like to get $600.00 for it, shipped.
