    EDIT: TRADED AWAY. :bawl: :hyper:

I'm really liking 5 strings these days, and even before that I didn't ever bring my 1978 Rickenbacker 4001 out of my home...in some ways, its my favorite bass, but in other ways, I don't use it enough. It's in excellent condition.

Anyone have a nice fiver that they might be interested in trading for a nice Ric? I might decide to sell outright, but I'm being wishy washy about it. I paid a good amount on it, and may prefer the trade route. I'll take photos if someone suggests a possible trade that I might go for.

    Or I might wimp out.

    Let me know,
    Marshall

EDIT: Pictures added...enjoy. Any funny things are just glare.

Have any Wals to get rid of? ;)

If a bass is a five string of build quality like a Ric and a good low B, I'm pretty flexible. My two fives now are an FBB fretless (Bartolini soapbars, 3 band eq) and a G&L 2500 fretted. So something different from those two is good. Active is a plus, but not necessary. I'll consider fretted or fretless.

It seems like there's some interest, so I'll try to take some pictures...but you all know what it looks like. :)

I also have a Yamaha BB5000AF fretless with bartolini pickups and electronics that I would be willing to trade for the Ric.

I'm not looking to sell right now. That might change eventually (like if I see something I really want to buy), but for now trades are preferred.

    Bump.

If I decide to sell (and I might), y'all have first dibs.

If anyone would be interested in this as a "trade down", I could add my G&L L2500. That'd have to be a pretty darn sweet bass though.

  14. Beautiful guitar with a sweet tone. Love the sound looking to replace my old Rick. Some low loife pinched it from me. Besides the sad sack story let me know what you want for it.
    Thanks

Sorry to hear that man. Also, sorry to tell you that the Rickenbacker's already gone...I'll miss her.

    Good luck,
