Nothing better to put fire under your butt to get a project done than to put your only other bass on the chopping block. Eh, I figured I'd throw it out here to see what people would want for it. The nut needs to be replaced, Surprising the black finish is very clean and unscratched, and I added a hipshot string retainer to the E and A strings.

Make me an offer I can't refuse. ;)

Oh, and pay no attention to the NV610 bass porn in the back.

Any particular reason it doesn't have strings on it?

You didn't notice the nut was broken?

Right now it's strung with three, as I desparately try to get my custom PJ off the ground like a giant albatross. I took off the strings so you all could see the broken nut better. I don't know what fender is using down there in mexico for nut material but it didn't hold up well on the dirnt. Mind you I popped the G-string (as in slapped then popped not broke) so hard that the busted the nut :D   but i think it's a great bass. It's almost not worth it for me to sell. But alas I'd like to hear what you may be willing to offer for it. By the way this P gives a great old school slap tone IMO.

So what'll it be busted nut and all?

    How much does she weigh?

She's a strapping young gal somewhere around 9 or 10 pounds off hand. I can weigh her if you like. I have a wide strap so it never feels overbearing. Definitely not a featherweight, but the Dirnt is a BEAST. Aggressive to say the least. I think that's because the neck is beefy and the ash body is chunkier than and Jazz bass or p-bass i've come across.

    Viva la grunt

  7. I must say as owning a mike dirnt bass this is a great bass to play. if you like the pbass sound that is, cause I love mine. I still need to get pics of it with its new pick guard. and wieght if you ever see one, look how think that body is. I would say around 9-10 lbs is right but its very confortable to play with no neck dive. and put it with a good overdrive and its hog heaven
