Rare and amazing Fodera. Single dual coil in AJ position!

Brazilian Rosewood top and fingerboard. Mahogany body. Dovetail neck joint. Most amazing neck of any Fodera I've played (standard carve, 19mm).

New price on this would be way up there as the top is a $2500 upgrade and the finger board adds $1050 not to mention Tulips ($350) and the dual coil with matching wood cover ($575). Anyway, open to sale or trade (+/- cash).

My fantasy at the moment would be to trade for a vintage Telecaster or Les Paul, but am always open to vintage fenders, gibsons, Fodera's and possibly NYC Sadowsky's.

    This Monarch is minty fresh.

    Brazilian Rosewood Monarch 4 Deluxe

    Unique Features

Brazilian Rosewood is one of our very favorite woods to work with. Not only does it make an excellent fingerboard wood, it also offers gorgeous possibilities when used as a top! Case in point: this Monarch 4 Deluxe.

The customer for whom this bass was built is a longtime friend of Fodera who has always been a P-bass player. For this build, he wanted an instrument that would give him that fat, syrupy tone he loves but with a wider tonal palate than one would typically get out of a P-bass setup. Our answer was a single Seymour Duncan Humbucking pickup, which emulates that fatness, but with more versatility. The Mahogany body and Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard contribute to this by imparting richness and subtle nuance to the sound.

Joey had this sounding so good after setting it up, nobody passed up the opportunity to take a few licks on this beauty while we prepared it for delivery!

I’m sure others will have this question.

Even with the mahogany and dense BRW top it weighs just 8.6 lb!

(8lb 10oz on my postal scale)
