female bassists

    I need your help everyone. I have a question. My hubby is a guitar player and I am a bassist. He seems to think that labels don't sign mixed groups for example a female bass or female guitar player with all the rest boys. If you all could, name me some famous rock or country groups that are this way. Thank you!

  4. A Perfect Circle, Bif Naked's band is mixed, David Usher's band, Lenny Kravitz's band, David Bowie's band. A lot of solor artists with backing bands seem to have both sexes. This might be because a lot of these bands are chosen purely for each member's skills as a musician, whereas other bands tend to also be people that work well sociall. For example a group of guys who hang out together start a band, or a group of girls do the same thing.

    Well, moxnix, perhaps because she asked for female bassists/guitarists. There's only a bijillion bands with female lead singers...

    Kittie is all female

    as is.. ummmm... I can't remember the name but it's some all girl band from Sweden.

    Kid Rock's (ugh) drummer is female.

    Michelle D.(not even going to try the last name). Had that one hit with John Mellencamp, and has released some solo albums.

  16. coal chamber(rayna is the hottest), distillers, smashing pumkins, and there are many others, but thats all i can think of at this time, that i would say rock the most.
