  1. Any other female bassists on this board?? Also, whoare you fave female bassplayers?? Mine are Rayna Foss-Rose(formerlly of Coal Chamber), Talena Atfield, Donna F. and D'Arcy Wretsky. Yes, they aren't in bands anymore, but I still love them! Especially Rayna! She rocks!
  2. How about Carol Kaye? One of the most recorded bassists ever!

  5. Ditto. She kicks massive butt. :bassist:
  6. There aren't many of us, but I'd vote for Meshell too. I'm partial to 5 strings, though.

Just a friendly hint that this probably fits better in the "Bassists" forum. I'm sure one of the mods will be along to move it there.:)

Oh, and don't forget about Paz from A Perfect Circle and Zwan...

Nobody mentioned Paz Lenchantin. (sp) She jams with a perfect circle. From what I hear shes also a classicly trained violinist too.

What about MC Divinity? she plays with Victor Wooten and she is very funky :)
  15. I'm a female bassist, too (hehe... here's to everybody who thought I was a man!) and though i don't hear many of us around, my teacher Robyn Habel's a bit of a bass ruler of things. She teaches at the university as well, so I'm getting what I'm paying for!

PS Gabu, did you HAVE to post that THING?!?!?
