For sale a Fender Hot Rod P bass (relisted after a buyer backed out).

    The bass is 9.1lbs.

The body is a Fender US body HOT ROD from August 2000. It is made of ash. The P pickup position is standard, and the J pickup position is the 60’s position.

The neck is a 2013 US Fender Precision standard neck. The neck has no damage and very, very little fret wear. The truss rod operates as it should.

The pickup is a match set of DiMarzio Model P and Model J pickups I bought new in Nov 2016. The bass is wired Volume, Volume, Tone. The pots are 250K CTS, the Cap is an Orange Sprague with a 0.47 uF value (the standard for modern bass). Note the tone pot is a mini tone pot from CTS, large ones don’t fit. The wires are vintage cloth wires except for the pickups which are standard DiMarzio thin wires. I did the wiring of this bass and it is very quiet. The bass still has its factory paint shielding which works well.

The pick guard and knobs are Fender US parts. The bass comes with a Gator gig bag which is what I use for my basses; I own 6 or 7 of these and they are great both for carrying your bass and for protecting it. The bag is in very good condition.

The body has a few dimples on each side, but they can only be seen under the right light, I did photograph the most visible ones. The body also has some hair lines in the finish as you would expect for a body that’s 18 years old. Again no major hit or impact, all the damage is very minor.

The bridge is the modern Fender high mass bridge I bought new and it adds a little sustain to the tone. It is a standard fit so no extra holes were drilled to fit the bridge. It allows stringing the bass through the bridge of through the body.

The bass sounds great (these DiMarzio are a great match to this bass) and plays well.

    $895 shipped CON USA

If you want to part the bass out:
$420 neck CON USA (no international shipping on this item)
$460 loaded body CON USA (OK to ship international, PM me for a quote)

Note I am not interested in a Trade and I cannot ship this bass internationally due to the rosewood fret board (See CITES regulations).
