    I recently bought this awesome bass from TB member shovelbone, and then later the same day I bought a 57 RI on ebay. I decided I'd get both and just keep one.

    I've been comparing the two for weeks, and I have to say they're pretty darn close. The Road worn is a great bass, I think it actually plays better than the 57 RI, which has higher action and a little bit of fret buzz. I decided to keep the RI just because I prefer the more two-tone color versus the roadworn's two-tone, which seems to have a little red in it.

    The Road worn is strung with TI Jazz flats, and I added the fender thumb rest. The thumb rest holes were pre-drilled.

    I'm asking $675 shipped in a gig bag. I know I'm the new guy, so please feel free to ask questions. I can take more detailed pics. I believe the weight is 8.8 lbs, very similar to the 57 RI.

    GREAT deal!! Great bass! I wish I had money!! I wish I was playing these days! I wish I could stop looking at P bass ads I can't respond to!

    Seriously, I love these basses. I own a '57 AVRI, and these Road Worns are definitely in the ball park, some are even better than mine, and this is about half the price of an AVRI.

    Still amazes me how different each of these can be, when they all look identical. I don't mean different in terms of good/bad, but each one I've played has had its own character. They've all been amazing.
