I would like to get one, and I have a quick question about them. I haven't been able to find one in a music store were I live, but I played a American Jazz, but the neck finish felt cheap like my Ibanez GSR200. Does the neck feel the same as on the new american series basses. I mean does it have a similar finish? I would like it to have a finish on the neck similar to my stingray. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Do the reissues come with an oiled finish neck?

    Adam,
The '62 Reissues come with a standard nitro finished neck with a "vintage", aged yellow tint. After 40 years of constant playing it will finally start to feel broken in and your thumb won't drag on all of the sweat that gets gummed up on the back! :D ;) Nevertheless, I love mine...but an oil finish would be nice.

    I also own a 62-reissue jazz.
I had no complants, until I played a
    Lakland skyline Joe Osborn Bass.
For less money, the lakland is better than the fender.
    Better pickups- fralin
    String thru body
    Better fret job.
sold my fender and bought the lakland.
