fender 62 ri jazz Stacked Concentric Control issue

    hi all
    i just bought this baby and apart the rough factory setup,easy manageable,the major issue for me is the bridbge stacked concentric control in that when i turn up or down the tone knob the volume one follows the rotation in both directions.can you help me fix it?:mad:

    Release the screw in the inner knob and reset the knob higher on the shaft. Lock the screw down. :mad:

    Yeah, I had the same problem. Did you take out the detent washer underneath the lower knob? I did because I like the smooth movement instead of a click, and then simply raised the knobs to keep them from rubbing, as mentioned above. Quite literally the first thing I did when I received the bass.
