   Anyone know if there is any tonal difference between these or is it just the tapered E? I have a HMV bridge, and prefer thru body but my GC does not have 8250s. I assume the 72s can still go thru body? Thanks

   If you lived in Madrid I´d give them to you. I took them off right when I bought my Jazz to string it with a set of Sadowsky flats wich are still on for more than 3 years.

    7250s are hexcore (= brighter_ 8250s are round core (= warmer, more mellow). I like 8250s on my P5 Fender p bass.
