Fender 77 Musicmaster vs 2000 Ric 4003

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by danielguerra, Sep 12, 2005.

  1. I use as my main bass a ric 4003, lately i bought a Musicmaster for 180 dollars, ive been playing it a lot and i like it a los it sounds very good and the shortscale neck i great, im thinking on making it my main bass, for live use, and the ric only for recording, what do u think?
  2. If you find the 77 more comfortable for a live environment, use that live and use the Ric if you want that sound in any situation.
  3. Is the recording you're doing the same stuff you're playing live? If so, I would think that you would want the sound to stay the same so the people hearing the live stuff would hear the same on the disc, or likewise, disc to live.

If not, then I agree with "marcusalan"; use what you are most comfortable with if the sound is what you want.
