Fender A/E p-bass

    I found a Fender A/E fretless P-bass, Japan. for sale $485. including fender hsc. It's just like the one Bob .G has. I havn't seen to many of these basses. It is set-up just fine for me and sounds good too. I like that it is acoustic and has the p bass style pic-ups. I know that there are better sounding basses like the Godin, but I think the Fender A/E has better acoustics but does'nt sound as good as the Godin plugged into a amp. Is the Fender A/E junk or is it a rare collector's find?.

    Like TV, Fender A/Es are medium, meaning they're neither rare nor well done. I used to own one and it was nicely built (The body's MIA and the neck's MIJ to lower the price), but the piezo pickup is not good at all.

    For $485, you'd be better finding a used Godin. The Fender might have a better acoustic tone, but who'd play it acoustically anyway?
