Anyone fimiliar with the Fender acoustic GB 41 Bass. I am thinking about buying one
  2. I tried one in a store a while ago - not overly impressed but I think that was because I was expecting it to be significantly better than it was. Sounded a bit too bright for my taste. Mind you I've always found acoustic basses to be very hit or miss. Sometimes you can play a high end model and it doesn't do it for you; sometimes a cheapie can play really nicely. I've now got a second hand beaten up Cort fretless and love it.

In the end it's a very personal decision based, in particular, on what you want to do with it. For me it's an "office bass" that allows me to play with our guitarist (who works with me) after work so I don't need a huge amount of projection - just something that feels nice in my hands.
