Fender American Deluxe 5 String - Routing Question

    Hey,
    has anyone popped off their pick guard yet on a 2012+ American fender Deluxe 5 String (the ones with the 70s style logo, and block inlays in the neck)

    I am thinking about picking one up, stripping out the pickups and electronics and putting together a P/J 5. So just need to know if the routing with support a 5 string precision pickup going in, or if additional routing will be necessary.

    I search, but wasn't able to find anyone talking about this.

    Anyone have any luck with this?
