Fender American Jazz Bass or just a good copy?

I am planning to buy a used Fender American Jazz Bass, but I am not sure it is a genuine one, although it really looks like this.

The serial is E 93281, but as far as I looked in mrgearhead's site, it doesn't comply with the serial chart(should have E+6 digits). I attach a couple of photos (hope to help).

Any opinions?
