I finally talked the wife into letting me buy a Fender American Jazz...I'm pumped !!!!!!!Maybe....Sunburst? 2 single-coil pickups, 34" scale and a whole lot of fun. We're going tomorrow to bring home "the Baby" !!!!!!!

P.S.- In my humble opinion...there's Fender and there's all the rest, and you can quote efcleff !

Congrats. That would be my next purchase, if only I was not looking for a five string. Post lots of pics, please.
  3. Get a sunburst with red tort guard and rosewood fingerboard! OY VEY!!!
  4. Another good colour scheme is natural ash, black pickguard and a maple block inlay neck. Ahhh...Of course, I'm happy with my vanilla basses (sunburst, rosewood, white pickguard).

Nope, this is a 2002 MIA Jazz bass. No re-issue or anything like that. I did change the pickguard though from white to tortoise.
  9. Oh, because I was in Guitar Center yesterday for fun, and I played a Re-Issue Fender Jazz with tortoise pickguard. Bad thing is to me, it sounded damn horrible. Nice neck though ^^

Awesome. Congrats on the bass. Can't go wrong with a Fender.
