Greetings, bass shoppers. What we have here is one of the best production-model P-Basses Fender ever made. Look it up - this is one of the all-time great models, and they just recently stopped making them. The quality is easily as good as the multiple Custom Shop basses I've owned, at a fraction of the price. This particular instrument was purchased new just this past June. I think that the color scheme seen here, Lake Placid Blue with a Tort guard, is the best color for this bass, and perhaps for any bass. It's gorgeous in person. This bass has been played for maybe 3 hours total. It's in near-mint condition. I did remove the plastic from the pickguard (very neatly) and change the strings to GHS Pressurewounds, which are a great match for the bass - silky smooth with a nice growl on top. It comes with the original case, all tags, and the case candy, including a little pouch with paperwork, screws, and the bridge and pickup covers, which were never installed. If you like old-school P-basses with 1.75" necks, this is the one you want. Feels and sounds like pure authority on the stage. This bass weighs 9 lbs, 1 oz. $1750 shipped CONUS. Local pickup available here in NW CT for $1700. Here's Fender's information about the bass and its specs: Found on nearly every stage and studio, the Fender P-Bass needs no introduction. This model features a thunderous Pure Vintage '63 pickup for meaty tone. Agree with the color assessment. I do think Pino red is a equal to this. All other colors, fall in behind the leaders!!
