    . . . AV's have dropped back to pre-hike prices, from $1900-ish
    to $1500.

Anybody out there with some Fender 'insider' knowledge
happen to know why, or if it's going to hold for awhile?

( this is really, really bad news for my GAS )

  2. Gibson and others are lowering prices as well. It's not just Fender nor their AV line.

Yeah, seems like Fender is slowly rolling back line-by-line.
They already did the Standards ( I believe ),
now they're doing the AVs, but they haven't done
the Classic 60s or Artist models ( Geddy, etc. )

  4. The Classic and Artist models probably will follow suit since the MIM and USA standard prices dropped.

Edit: add Deluxe models to the list too.

  5. Possibly because it was a really stupid move to jack up prices significantly during a protracted recession? Americans are finally saving money like we ought to, and a new Fender is a neccessity for just about no one.
