Selling what for many is the end of the road when it comes to classic precision models. This is a 2016 AVRI '63 P-bass in the sought after Sonic Blue nitro! Specs: Color: Faded Sonic Blue Body Material: Alder Body Finish: Fender Flash Coat Lacquer Body Shape: Precision Bass® Neck Material: Maple Neck Finish: Fender Flash Coat Lacquer Neck Shape: "C" Shape Scale Length: 34" (864 mm) Fingerboard: Round-Laminated Rosewood Fingerboard Radius: 7.25" (184.1 mm) Number of Frets: 20 Fret Size: Vintage-Style String Nut: Bone Nut Width: 1.74" (44.19 mm) Position Inlays: Dot Pickup Configuration: Pure Vintage '63 Split Single-Coil Bridge: 4-Saddle American Vintage Bass with Threaded Steel "Barrel" Saddles Tuning Machines: New American Vintage Reverse Open-Gear Pickguard: 3-Ply Aged White Additionally: The body is blemish free save one small chip near the neck pocket (to be expected) Perfect weight - 8.5 lbs with covers on! Gorgeous straight-lined and dark rosewood board. All hardware is super clean. Looks to have been played minimally. Nice thin nitro on the neck which feels awesome! Will ship in a nice vintage-looking TKL hard case with red plush interior! No additional accessories. The previous owner took some sort of marker to the neck dots at the 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th frets, I assume to help with visibility (pictured). There also appears to be some wear at those spots either from the marking process or from a previous owner trying to remove said marks and wearing through the finish a bit. Not noticeable when playing, just fully disclosing. No trades. Buyer will pay shipping.
Man I’ve been looking for this color in the ‘63 AVRI configuration for years. Welp looks like I gotta sell some stuff. Lol
I literally just purchased this exact same bass today. This thing is one of the best sounding P’s you will ever hear. Been looking for over a year and two pop up in the same day, crazy! This one looks awesome, bet it won’t last long! GLWTS!
Wow....the end-all king of P-basses. The next owner is in store for an amazing experience! Good luck with the sale.
FWIW, I have this exact bass and the 1.73’ nut plays insanely well. Very fast for the width. Killer bass and I get a lot of comments about the color. Not sure if this is true, but I’ve read many times that these are the closest to a CS a production Fender will get. GLWTS!
I have one in Olympic White and agree that it plays amazingly well and fast. I'm a bit baffled that this bass is listed at such a great price and is still available!
