Hey guys I just bought this Fender Precision Bass Squier series and a Peavey 115 (TKO I think) amp. I got it in good condition for $300 total. Is this a good deal? Is it a decent bass and amp? Please tell me!!

PS: The amp has a problem with it, when you turn the master volume knob it seems like theres a little bit of static like a loose connection, but it goes away in a few minutes. Can someone tell me what is wrong with it and how to fix it and how much it will cost?
  2. that's about right for that equipment. You're not ripping him off, and he's not playing you. spray some "DeoxIT" on the pot. It's probably just some oxidation on the pot. If that doesn't work, try taking the face off, and spraying some in the pot from the side while spinning it. if THAT doesn't work, replace the pot. No more than like five bucks for the pot, and I have no idea how much deoxit is...

  3. Jen, you both got a fair deal!

As far as the pot goes, just twist it up and down and see if that will clean it, sometimes it's just dirty.

If that doesn't work then you need to replace it, as noted above!
