Fender Bassman 100 and headphones

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Mr.QuakQuak, Dec 25, 2004.

  1. Ok I've had the Fender Bassman 100 watt amp for over a year now and this morning I got Sony Professional 7506 headphones to use with it. The problem is there is not a headphone jack on the amp and none of the other jacks seem to work. Is there a solution of a way to fix this ? Maybe with the purchase of a wire or something ?

don't go sticking the headphones in every jack - the impedance mismatch could hurt soem parts of your amp. I'm sure a tech could mod your amp to put a headphone jack in it, but that requires more than just a jack and a wire. The signal has to be amplified by something in order to power the headphones. Better yet, get yourself a dedicated headphone amp.

headphone amp is most likely your best choice plus its a bit more portable than the amp which your basically not going to use when your headphoned.
