I have a Fender Bassman 1200 Pro, with the foot-switch, I've installed a Sylvania 5751 in V1 & a Tung-Sol 12AX7 in V2, this amp has lived all it's life in a rack-case, has mild rack rash by the screws
"The Rack-case shown in photo NOT included in the sale"
Asking $575.00 shipped - in the lower 48 .... local Cash & Carry price $500.00

Yummy. When Fender took the best Sunn solid state amp and put their name on it. This amp kicks rear end. If I were playing loud again you would have PM. Great price.

How's this compare to the old Sunn/Fender Bassman 300t?

its the same tube preamp and features without the 6 6550's as a power section...the 300t has more preamp tubes, but this is a very close sounding amp! i have both and obviously the 300pro sounds a little more "tubey" but they have the same palette and sometimes i prefer the 1200 as all those watts really give the lower notes some heft...plus its alot lighter than the tube version.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Or didn't want to hear... if you consider my bank balance.

amend that....they have the same number of preamp tubes. there are rectifier(?) tubes as well in the 300pro and i was thinking they are all preamp gain tubes.

btw NK, i had the sunn version of this as my first high wattage amp. i sold it to try out a myriad of other amp flavors and realized i was looking for an amp that sounded as good as my old sunn 1200s.... so i bought another one and while other amps have been added, (or been sold) it has stayed.

I too, had the Bassman 300 Pro, the front section is identical, I'd say the sound is a little tighter due to the Mosfet output section .... and yes, the available headroom, gives the the lower range a huge amount of heft ... I played this through a Berg NV610, HS410, and an Aguilar GS210 & GS212 and it has what I think a nice tone/voicing to it ..... I'm just not doing large venues anymore .... as a side note, this weighs in at 36 pounds, for those who need to know/see, here is a view of the inside of the amp when I had the cover off to install different preamp tubes
