Fender Bassman 1200 users

  1. I am amp shopping, and I was just wondering if this amp operated at 8 ohms. The Fender rates it 1200 watts at 2 ohms, and 800 watts at 4 ohms...They didn't state if it would work at 8 ohms.

  2. it works at 8 and should put out about 500-ish watts.
    i havnt heard exactly how many exacly....

    Yep, it will. And if you want to save alot of money, go find a used Sunn 1200. It's exactly the same amp (Fender bought it, put their name on it, sold it off) and really reliable.

    +1 for the sunn 1200S. Same amp great tone. I have one and it works at 8Ohm just fine but I would like to open it up with more watts so a speaker change might be in the works.
