Hi, does anyone know how many watts the old silverface bassman 70 heads have? I'm in love with the tone, but I couldn't crank it up when I tried one out... I play in a band with 2 guitarists and a loud drummer, and I am not sure wether it could keep up.... Also what cab would you recommed? I need something light, but relatively cheap. Thanks

Uuummm......it's 70 watts! It most likely won't keep up with 2 guitars and drums, but if it's in good electrical cond. it will make a great studio amp.

  3. I use a Bassman 50 with a JBL loaded Sonic compact 1 X 15" cabinet for 90% of my blues band's gigs. Last night we played a swing dance gig to ~400 people in a large hall and it was just fine.
