Up for sale is a really cool Fender Blacktop Precision fully loaded body in Chrome Pearl. I bought the unloaded body awhile back to put together so I could see what a double Humbucker P would sound like. I put in two new old stock passive Precision Deluxe Humbuckers in it, put on a Jazz neck, and wow - pretty interesting! Obviously not a MM or G&L, but some pretty tasty tones with a hint of Stingray. Body is overall in excellent shape with a couple of little marks. Weighs in at 6.9 lbs loaded on my scale. Comes with neck plate and screws.

    $275 $250 $230 shipped CONUS

Trade interest - Precision bodies and necks

What are the dimensions of the blacktop pickups? I am considering this body with a pickup swap in mind.

Those pickups are the Fender Deluxe Precision Humbuckers, not the original Blacktops. 3.75 x 1.375 in.

I might be interested in just the pickups.

Thanks for the interest but I would prefer to sell the pickups with the body.

FWIW, my Blacktop P -Bass took Lollar, T-bird pickups with no routing. I sanded the pickguard a bit to fit the neck pickup, added some foam under the replacement pickups as they were thinner and added jazz bass neck.

Lol. Well you never know. It’s been hot and humid out here, so I weighed it again just in case it lost a few ounces. Unfortunately the same as before. That bridge is as heavy as a BA II. FWIW I weigh my fat rear and then weigh me plus the body. I didn’t lose any weight either. :(

:D it's a beast I bet it rocks big time . GLWTS ! \m/ That is not the best method to get a weight unless you have a very good scale , pickup one of these in your travels

Thanks for the recommendation. Mine is a high end Weight Watchers scale, calibrated to their official ones, so I am good.

After all this of this chatter, I am going to keep this beast and put a 70s P neck on it. Thanks for everyone’s interest.
