What does a three bolt micro tilt neck do vs a four bolt neck? Any advantage one over the other? Thanks.

The micro tilt neck allows for neck tilting (be it back or foward). This allows for even lower tweekable action if saddles are at their lowest point. All three screws must be loosened to use the feature which is set at the factory. If I where you I would not mess with that adjustment, it's just a feature they made in the 70's (5 or 6 years before they went back to 4 bolt)

Ther are no advantages outside of the ability to tweek your setup on the 3 bolt neck. Sonically there is no difference.

Please correct me if I am wrong but I think i read somewhere that the 4 bolt basses are genuinely considered 'better' in some way than the 3 bolts?
