Fender BXR-100 vs. Fender Bassman 100

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Masterbasser71, May 4, 2004.

  1. Can you give me some 411 on the BXR itself. Is it a 90's version of a Bassman 100? Does it match up to the modern Bassman 100?

I wouldn't put them in the same class. IMHO the Bassman 100 is a much better combo.

I agree. I owned a BXR200 combo and the amp was loud but boomy. Could not get a good clean sound out of it! Did I say it was loud?! I removed the amp section, installed a banana jack panel in the rear and use it as a stand alone cab now!
