Had this for a couple years, bought new from Sweetwater. Great classic 50s Pbass. These are the ones that are made in Mexico, build quality is great. Has worn Dunlop halfrounds on it since I got it, and Dunlop straplocks installed. Very minor ware in frets and on body. Comes with the hardshell case. Will negotiate on shipping. Let me know if you have any questions! Not interested in trades as I'm moving gear to get another custom build rolling.
    Bass.

  7. Would it be correct to deduct (I did not say assume) that due to having the tweed HSC and the none more black finish that this bass is a laquer finished model not the less expensive poly finished 50s classic?

That is correct, it is the nitro finish, still made in Mexico, not the American Vintage series, but still nitro instead of poly.

  9. Then why is this bass still here? This is a great price on a lacquer model complete with great strings , strap locks and case. I have a 2006 Classic 50s (poly) in black or I’d grab this one. This series are awesome no matter where they’re made.

Haha I agree! I love it, but I’m trying to finance a new custom build and need to thin the heard a bit.

  11. I told my buddy about this one but he wanted sunburst and found one on Reverb today. As you know the nitro are only available in black.

I appreciate it! I understand I have a American Standard P in sunburst, love that finish as well. The black and gold on this one is just slick though.

Don't think you mentioned the weight? I notice these can be a bit heavy.

If I didnt have the one already pictured in my avatar (mine is the non-lacquer version) I'd be all over this one. Almost a third of the price of the new American Original and older AVRI, half the price of an American Professional, and as good if not better in some cases than all of them. Best deal on a Precision in Fender's lineup if you like 1.75" nut widths.
