On Fender’s website catalog for the classic series there is some variation in the listed truss rod specs...

The $749 Classic P (poly) lists for truss rod: “vintage-style butt adjust”

The $899 black lacquer Classic P lists for truss rod: “standard”

And for the $999 road worn classic P’s they list: “vintage-style butt adjust”

Is this just a typo or did they really bother to put a standard truss rod (I assume that would be one that adjusts at the headstock?) in the black nitro lacquer version?

I’ve includes screen shots of the referenced sections from Fender’s page.

    Thank you!

They're all the same. Vintage style butt.

Adjusting a truss rod with your butt sounds incredibly unhygienic :smug:
