Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Insomniac, Jan 19, 2003.

  1. Here is an amp a friend let me borrow while my SWR stack is at his house.. Heres the info i know
    ~Its a Fender
~it says BXR- Bass Extended range
    ~twenty five watts
~Its not currently in production, but its brotehr is, the KXR amps are
    ~12 inch speaker
what i want to know is, do they make ones like this with more power, or just as a head? Cause this is the best tone ive ever heard, my jazz bass sounds so good. Any and all info is needed. is there any larger amps liek this? do all fender bass amps sounds as good as this?

    Fender KXR series, apparently...

I believe those are just amps, designed for anything.

    They have 2 models.

    A 60w 1x12 and a 100w 1x15

yours looks like the 1x15 to me.

they are good amps. my uncle uses one.
  3. i thought that too but this one has BXR printed on it....not KXR. Thanks anyway!

The BXR amps were Fender's production bass amps until the NEW Bassman series was introduced a couple of years ago. IMHO, the Bassman series shows significant sonic improvements over the BXR. So, if you like the BXR, chances are quite good that you'll LOVE the Bassman.

For exact specs on each of the models you can pick up a copy of the Fender Frontline at your local dealer or visit Fender's website. You should be able to get all the BXR info that you'd ever need on the Mr Gearhead section of that site.
