Fender Custom Shop '55 P-Bass, with NOS Thin Skin Surf Green finish over pieces of ash and maple that have undergone a roasting process. The roasting process not only removes excess moisture and adds stability to the wood, it gives it old-growth qualities that add in some overtones and characteristics of fine vintage electric guitars and basses. This bass is a joy to play and you won't want to put it down.

As you will notice in the photos, there is a tiny chip in the finish near the lower bout. This was there when the bass was purchased and is quite insignificant, otherwise this bass and plush tweed case are in mint condition. Everything works perfectly on this bass....tuning keys are smooth, truss rod is precise, and the pickup is fat and powerful. The bass is strung with a new set of GHS flat round strings providing that glorious old school Pbass warmth. The « roasting » process really works and adds a special brilliance to the sound. Awesome tones, and really nice feel to the neck. If you have tried one of these basses, you know what I’m talking about.

Please note....there is a no return policy on this bass. Pretty sure you will enjoy it, as it is a lovely instrument.

Oh man! What kind of pickup does she have in her? Should say on the shop floor traveler.

    Shop floor traveler reads...55 p-bass.
Im actually very impressed. I have had other basses with this single pickup design, and this one really sounds so much better.
