I have what I was told is a Fender Custom Shop PJ Bass. When I examined the Bass neck cavity after unbolting the neck this is what it looks like. Can anyone tell me if this is a genuine Fender Body or an aftermarket part? thanks for any input. IMG_2776.jpg

It somewhat looks like The or stamp FCS used to use on its basses, but this one looks sloppy..I don't think I've seen one where the date stamp overlaps the FCS stamp (there're usually very good about making things nice and neat so that the bass can be traced easily)..I've never seen one in black ink either, usually red...if it's authentic FCS, the word "RELIC" should be stamped into the body under the pickguard (although if this is a FCS from the time before they began to physically age their basses I suppose it might not be there)...the stamp in the neck cavity looks really suspect...try researching the serial number...
