Anyone selling Fender decals is in violation of the law. Fender does not sell their decals directly to the public. You have to go through an Authorized Fender Service Center, the service center will apply the new decal on a genuine Fender.

But I still see them on ebay under Musical Instruments/Accessories category all the time.

That doesn't make it legal or ethical.
The way Fender does things actually protects the consumer as well as Fender.

When did Fender start offering decals to the public for re-sale? Or perhaps you are just recommending some shady, underhanded dealer that facilitates bogus instruments.

Just curious...where do I find a 'Fender Service Center' in the Middle East? What is the procedure to get a replacement decal for my genuine '75 Jazz? What would it cost?

Just for your info, we have one 'Fender' dealer in town. He stocks 2 MIM Strats, and offers no services of any kind - no setup, repairs, spare parts, nothing.

I don't really need a decal (my Jazz has one), but would like to know how Fender deals with customers like me, living in the middle of nowhere.
