Fender Deluxe FMT fingerboard question...

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by jenderfazz, Dec 8, 2003.

  1. The FMT series looks very cool, but like most Fenders it offers Pao Ferro as a 5 string board. I was just wondering if maple was offered on the 5 as well. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

the FMTs only have maple on the 4 strings- all fives are pau ferro to my knowledge ( or lack thereof) don't ask me why- i think they would have sold a ton

One of Fender's more boneheaded moves IMO. As if they couldn't do the same thing they do on the Jazz Deluxe 5.

  6. Seriously, it would be a nice option.

Out of experience, is the FMT line different/superior in any way to the regular deluxe line (besides obvious visual differences such as hardware)? Does it justify paying an extra 400$, soundwise, or is it all visual?
