Fender Dimension Neck Question

Hey guys, my Stingray neck was feeling a little dry the other day after a cold winter and I figured I would give it a coat of the Birchwood Casey Tru-oil and gun stock wax. Then I got to thinking that my Fender Dimension could probably use it too but I wasn't sure if that was recommended for that particular bass. Its an American Fender Dimension with an unfinished neck similar to a MM but I couldn't find on the Fender website what type of oil they used on the neck. Does anyone know, or can anyone tell me if it'd be fine to treat it the same way as my Stingray?
