Hey string guru's - quick question for you all:

I have an Ovation acoustic that needs some new strings on it. I've always played phosphor bronze on it, but I have a set of Fender 9050 SS Flats sitting around that I think I'd like to try.

Somewhere on here I read that tension could be a concern for the acoustic body. Anyone have experience with these? Good idea, bad idea?

They're fine. It's what I use on my Ibanez AEB5.

Ovations are pretty notorious for the bridge lifting, or the body bellying out from too much string tension. Just keep an eye on it. As long as the top stays flat when you're tuned to pitch it isn't a problem.
