Ok so a cream white P bass with gold hardware and fine tunrs at the bridge....it's a 1970.

How much do those go for? What are they exactly called? Any of you own one?

    Sure it's not a 1980 P-Elite?

Fender never made a 1970 P-bass with gold hardware.
Sounds like an early 80's, Maybe Elite, or P-Special.
Elites are going for around $950.00.
    P-Specials, around $800.00.

The Elite series didn't come out until 1983. The pickups have white covers (the pole pieces are hidden), and an active preamp. The ones with the gold hardware are called "Gold Elite". AFAIK, the fine tuners are exclusive to the Elite series.

My '93 P Deluxe Plus had the fine tuners and kubicki electronics.

Anyone got pictures of a cream white one so I can see if that's it?
