Fender FSR 70's P-bass

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by jimfriar, Oct 10, 2005.

  1. I just picked up one of the 2002 USA P-bass - FSR 70's. I really like it so far - great weight and cool P tones. Does anyone know much about them ? How many were made ? Were they an upcharged model ?
The neck has some nice figuring in it and I have always loved Olympic white finishes. It's sorta like having a real 70's bass WITHOUT the outrageous weight/unreliable tuners !

  2. From what I understand, the primary difference is their ash bodies. Played one at GC, it was a well-built instrument, and this one had a three piece body. IIRC, the upcharge from the standard MIM P is about $50-100 MSRP or so.
