How is the music zoo in Long Island local if you're in Maine?

I used the musiczoo link for a visual aid, didn't necessarily take the time to find a musicians friend or guitar center link.

I'd rock that. And I'm not even a fan of CAR.

Man is that Sweet. Thanks for the GAS. It appears to say Made in Japan on the headstock and the back of the neck.

  12. Not a fan of the color, but it can always be refinished!

It is a MIJ. It felt really well built. Smooth fret ends, pickups sounded clear and responsive.

My local music store got one of those in. We saw them at the NAMM Show. It is very cool, indeed. Nicely made and it sounds terrific. I believe Fender Japan made 300 for American consuption. If you can get one, they are an exceptional value, in my opinion. Oh, by the way, the color is Aged Red, a little darker than Candy Apple.

  15. Very nice, I want one.

I just got one of these. Fantastic bass! The PJ sound mixed is like a jazz with more lows. The single coil bridge pickups hums minimally, and so far hasn't been a problem. I think the only thing I will change is to replace the tuners with Hipshot Ultralites. They're selling for about $1100 here in Vancouver, BC.

Doesn't look like it, but I prefer the pickups spaced further apart in a P/J bass, even if the P pickup is reversed. It's more of it's own flavor, a unique sound that I dig.
