Howdy Y'all! New here and new to playing the bass.

I have been thinking about getting a Geddy Lee Jazz bass and found one yesterday in a local pawn shop for $450. It's a MIJ one. Seems like a good deal to me, what do y'all think?

I looked it over and it wasn't beat up, looked to be in good shape.

Anything I should look for? Like I said, I am pretty new to playing bass.

    Thanks for any input!

Make sure to try and see if the truss rod works and the bridge is fine. Other than that it sounds like a great deal!

Thanks Peter! I will go check the truss rod out. I was thinking about taking $400 cash in there and see if he will take it!

Sounds like a good deal on a very good bass.

I've had and loved my MIJ since 2004, but be aware the stock tuners aren't very good, coarse and unstable. I immediately replaced them with Hipshots. But for $450, that's a good deal; think I paid $550 for mine like-new back then.
