    Passive. Fender offers them on their Active basses. When new, they have a connector attached, so you can plug them into the Fender preamp

    I am very tempted to pick these up for my parts jazz bass. Let me see if it’s worth the extra cash.

    Lots of power and punch, good Midrange focus and the bridge pickup is nice and snarly! I’ve gone back and forth about keeping them, because I love them, but I’m probably gonna put some old, rusted pickups back in my bass, so it looks more period correct.

    Right!!! I have offered them before, then took them off, because I actually want to keep them. I sold the bass they were in, so now they need a home.

    That would be a great move! I thought about putting them in my Squier Affinity Jazz, but that would defeat the purpose of me having an inexpensive bass :D
